The Overtime page has three sections:
  1. Your OT volunteers — shifts you’ve claimed from the Open shifts board
  2. Post availability — tell supervisors when you’d be willing to pick up extra
  3. Request overtime — ask to be scheduled for OT on a specific date

Your OT volunteers

Lists every open shift you’ve claimed, with its status:
  • pending — supervisor hasn’t chosen yet
  • selected — you got the shift (it’ll appear on your calendar)
  • passed — supervisor chose someone else
Withdraw from a pending volunteer any time.

Post availability

Let supervisors know when you’d take OT without them having to post it first:
1

Date range

“From” is required. “To” can be the same as “From” for a single day.
2

Time window (optional)

If you’re only free in certain hours, enter them. Leave blank for “any time on those days.”
3

Notes

Any caveats — “only if OT pay”, “prefer nights”, etc.
Supervisors see all active availability windows when building schedules or filling gaps.

Request overtime

If you want to work extra on a specific date (not a shift that’s currently open):
  1. Pick a date
  2. Enter hours
  3. Add a reason
A supervisor reviews and approves/denies. If approved, it shows up on your schedule.

Tips

Keep availability current

Stale availability is useless. Update yours when your life schedule changes.

Volunteering ≠ guaranteed

Some orgs pick by seniority; some by fairness (whoever’s worked least OT). Check with your supervisor if you’re curious how it’s decided.
